Seersucker

"Suckers?!?" That was Hazel's reaction at the fabric store when I told her what fabric we were getting.

I decided the kids needed some summery clothes, so first on the list were seersucker pants for the gentleman and a top for the lady.

Hazel's shirt is an adapted version of this dress, which I made for her last spring. I just took off the ties, made the back have an opening, and added a snap with a button covering it.

And my darling little girl's hair is now long enough that I had to move it out of the way to take a picture of the button (from Amaanda). Sigh.....

Taking pictures of a toddler willing to pose (for a cookie of course) is much easier than trying to catch this guy in a moment of stillness.
I used the Quick Change Trousers pattern from Anna Maria Horner's Handmade Beginnings. Love this pattern. Super easy and quick. And the pants are reversible...bonus! The other side of the pants here are a blue woven fabric. Now Klaas just needs some brown sandals and he's all set.
