Seattle Weekend

We went to Seattle this past weekend for my sister's baby shower. She's due in about a month, though I'm placing my bets on the beginning of July instead of the end of June. But I'm hoping that their little guy comes sooner rather than later so we can meet him asap!

Jason couldn't make it because of work, but we still had a fun time. We went to the Olympic Game Farm in Sequim. Super fun and Hazel had such a good time seeing peacocks, llamas, yaks, buffalo, elk, bears, tigers, a lion, wolves, coyotes, and zebras....all just a few feet from the car window. The park is a refuge for animals that had been used in television or movies. It's a driving tour, so you can get really close to all the animals. It was quite exciting being mauled by llamas and yaks, looking for a free handout. And we saw buffalo sparring and baby buffalo nursing. They were adorable.

We also walked around downtown Seattle a bit, sat on Rachel the Pig, saw all the beautiful lilacs and tulips in bloom, went to a great little consignment store and got a few things for the kiddos, and walked around Viking Fest in Poulsbo.

Anne's baby shower was a lot of fun, she got a lot of wonderful presents for her little guy, including lots of wonderful books. I showed off my mama-ness and won the baby food tasting contest (sample the food and guess what flavor it is).

So here are some pictures from the weekend.
