Father's Day

Today we had a little celebration for the man who gave me this little girl.

And does her hair on Sunday mornings while she brushes her teeth.

Getting ready to eat.
Salmon with mango salsa and corn on the cob. Yum.

Hazel colored him a picture and I'm in the process of finishing up a little knitting project for him. So I'll post some pictures of those two things later.

Happy Father's Day!

I would agree that Jason is a wonderful dad -- but where is the recipe for the mango salsa and the tiramasu cake? Just joking (kind of) but the salsa looks way better than the store's version and I am sure you made it! Love ya.

The tiramisu cake recipe I need to get myself - it's from a friend of ours and Corinne and I loved it when we tried it this winter. I think it's from allrecipes or something. I'll try to find it.

And the mango salsa was just kind of made up on the fly and wasn't as good as one Jason made a few years ago. It had one mango, some red onion, red bell pepper, green onion (since I didn't have much red onion to put in), tomato, cilantro. I used lemon juice, but I think lime would be better. And then salt and pepper. It wasn't super juicy, but that's partly because the tomatoes weren't the greatest. I'll ask Jason if he remembers how he made it last time.

This might be the tiramisu cake recipe - but I'm not 100% sure.

You could of course not use a box mix and use your own recipe for the main cake if you like...
