Klaas Thijs

He has arrived! Klaas Thijs was born on August 2 at 3pm and weighed in at an incredible 9 pounds, 14 ounces and was 22.5 inches long. He is named after Jason's grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather.

(Klaas rhymes with sauce or moss. Thijs rhymes with peace or niece, pronounced "teece.")

He is a handsome little boy that we all love so much. Hazel is doing quite well considering her mama is very tired after pushing her brother out, and we are just praying that she continues to do well and trying to give her as much attention as we can.

Here are a few pictures of the day of his birth and the day after for you to enjoy. There will be more to come later about his birth and what we're up to, but right now it's that wonderful and difficult at the same time transition period where we're all getting used to life again. We praise God that Klaas was born safely and that I ended up doing all right during labor. Please join us in giving thanks to Him for our son!
