I've probably used this title before, but it's perfect since we're about to embark on another fabulous road trip!
This Saturday our good friend Ben is getting married in California so we're throwing the baby in the car and heading on down. Then we will leisurely wind up the coast and show Hazel where we took our honeymoon almost four years ago. Very much looking forward to it, except the whole sleeping part.
We'll be camping and while Hazel is a great sleeper here at home, she does enjoy having her own room. So we'll see how she likes being in a four-man tent with mom and dad. We're just praying that she is cooperative and becomes an infinitely more mature child just before this trip and will be able to settle down to sleep even with her parents in the same tent.
So I very much need to go downstairs and organize our camping equipment in order to fit the bare minimum in the Volvo (I think we'll be eating mostly cold meals since everything won't be able to fit in the trunk). I think the little miss will insist on toting along her stroller, pack and play, toys, etc.... Demanding baby.
Can't wait to enjoy a brief visit with family and friends (one of whom we haven't seen in almost 2 years) and a (hopefully) great vacation on the coast!

She'll do fine- just like her mom did at that age at Grover Hot Springs (NOT!)
Hope to see you--but don't know if we will. I have talked to your mom much lately b/c we have been out of town alot so didn't know you were coming to California...
Oh, I remember camping with you at Grover!!!!! You survived the rattlesnakes that were just across the road and lived to take your own daughter camping...Have a wonderful time!
