I was checking out the Purl Bee and more specifically this gorgeous scarf project. I had heard someone comment about how expensive Purl Soho yarns were, but never really checked it out.
So I decided to see how much their recommended yarn would cost to make the scarf, maybe I would get some for myself.
$246 for 600 yards.
So the answer was no.

$246--what??? Time for the thrift store! Inexpensive cashmere or any yarn for that matter comes from recycling sweaters.
That price is wrong, but that scarf is gorgeous. Maybe you could just substitute with some inexpensive Lionbrand goodness.
