First Sunday at Church

"Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger." Psalm 8:2

"Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly: Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts"
Joel 2:15-16

Today was Hazel's first time attending worship outside my uterus. And she very much enjoyed herself! She did sleep through the entire service, but that's ok...being a newborn is hard work.

We were so happy each time we looked down; our new family worshiping the Lord together. It was wonderful and we are continuously thankful to God for our healthy little baby and the blessing she is to us. It's also reassuring to know that the church and our friends and family are continuing to pray for us as we raise Hazel and teach her to walk with the Lord. It's a reminder to us to continue to uplift our friends and their families in prayer as they raise their little ones. We were talking this morning on the drive into town about how we can't wait to hear her little "Amens!" once she's big enough and for her to sit next to us during the service.

Here are some pictures of her in her little dress (might already be too short), which used to be my dress!

That's such a cute dress! Were you guys at second service at Christ Church? I thought I saw you there, but then I didn't get a chance to come over and see baby Hazel. Hopefully I'll get to see her soon!

She looks cute and I am so glad she enjoyed church. :)
