Cherry Clafouti and a hard day's work

Well today was my first official full day of housewifery. So I did laundry, cleaned the kitchen, worked on consolidating my recipes, and baked a cherry clafouti. (Notice I didn't pack....should have, but I will work on that tomorrow). There was quite a bit of resting between these tasks, since I seem to need a break every hour or so. (That would be due to little baby Shoe.) The clafouti was quite delicious if I do say so myself. Made with cherries from the Mohler's orchard.

Jason came home from a hard day's work of roofing and we enjoyed a nice summery dinner together of corn, persian rice, nectarines, plums, and steak. The steak wasn't the greatest, but oh well. Here are some pictures of what he looked like when he came home. Roofing is dirty work.

And here's a picture of the Palouse, next to UI's Arboretum from our picnic there yesterday afternoon. Gorgeous!

I like the way you chopped up his body.... but the hills are SOOOO green! Must be nice after snow in June.

ahhh! the bottom half of jason's torso is missing! just kidding. i empathize with you on being tired out by a baby who seems to keep growing... fortunately mine is no longer inside me... but the running is keeping me tired!
