Kaffe Fassett fabric and Coeur d'Alene

We went up to Coeur d'Alene and Kellogg this weekend so that Jason could go skiing with Keith and Nellie. Well actually Jason went snowboarding. They all had a great time up on the mountain on Friday and I spent the day shopping at Target and fabric stores, and sneaking into Costco to buy their $1.50 lunch of a polish hot dog and a soda. Yummy, cheap, and super nutritious.

Saturday was a quiet day with the guys still skiing and Nellie and I hung out around the house we were staying at so that I could knit and she could work on her upcoming play and final master's project.

The best fabric store I've found within an hour and a half of home is Bear Paw Quilts, mainly since they carry Alexander Henry, Amy Butler, Kaffe Fasset, and Anna Maria Horner. So I spent a lovely hour browsing and looking and dreaming, and was very good when I only came away with a yard and a half of fabric.

Here are my selections: two new Kaffes and some Freshcut. I think the purple Kaffe will be a skirt, the pinwheel Kaffe a tote bag, and the pink Freshcut was just for fun.

I love Alexander Henry print--discovered them years ago and they're so fun. Did you know Kaffe Fassett knits too?
