Wait Wait Don't Tell Me

If you've never heard this show, let me first just say it's one of my favorites. It's on NPR and if you click on this link, you can go to the page.

Anyways, here's the quote I heard on the January 19th edition.

Peter Segal, talking to the first contestant of the day, "[Oh you're from] Vancouver, Canada! Oh I love the exotic international calls! How are things in Vancouver?"

"Ummm...kinda like Seattle, but metric."

Love it!

Yippee! I love that show! I listened to the best of 2007 show last weekend because that week's show wasn't up yet. so funny. I've been saying this a lot lately, but one of my favorite things about all npr shows is the impeccable manners of all the hosts. Someone can be a blathering idiot (although rarely does this happen on npr) but the hosts are so smooth and well mannered. When I go back to teaching I'm going to meditate on npr manners before going into battle...
