Crafty things

Well, tomorrow Sing and Shout Crafts will be at the Dahmen Barn in Uniontown for the annual holiday craft fair. Should be pretty fun, complete with Sage Bakery goodies and apple cider.

So I've been making some little zippered pouches to sell, in the hope that smaller items will induce more shoppers to want to spend money! So I'll be having more of those little bags along with some bibs I made this week and totes. Of course, we will also have Abby's fabulous earrings, Paula and Laura's wonderful cards, and placemats and other sewn goodies by Alexis.

If by some odd chance, someone in Moscow is reading this blog, come on down and say hello!

I also made this cute little shirt the other week. My first time trying to make a blouse, so I went for sleeveless to avoid the difficulties of sleeves. So I wear it under sweaters for now...and I love it!

I love the zippered pouches. I tried to make one of these last week, but it turned out all wonky. I don't know what I did.

They were kind of hard to play around with - I ended up not using any sort of flannel lining, like I normally do with purses. The one I made with it was waaay too thick.

I'm not a huge fan of zippers...temperamental.

You are a sewing inspiration, Liz! I love the shirt and the zippered pouches! I am making unlined little bags because lining scares me and few people peer into my bags as far as I can tell. (Plus I've asked for one of Sarah's awesome bags for Christmas, so I can just mooch off her talent for bags.)
