Ooh ooh...ow. Itchy wool waistband and no tucked in shirt. We just got home from the NSA Reformation Banquet and I made the mistake of wearing wool slacks without tucking in a shirt. About halfway through the entertainment, I kept having to fidget in my seat to adjust the itchiness level.
So in celebration of Reformation Day (aka Halloween for those non-Reformed types) and as an annual fall tradition, NSA held a dinner at the Best Western. And let me tell you, the food was definitely worth the $25 we paid. (Perhaps you might detect a hint of sarcasm.) Forget the food though, the evening was tres fun and offered a myriad of amusements. None of which would be funny to non-Muscovites. So I won't waste your time here.
Side note: we walked into the banquet wearing "nice"/"church" clothes, but apparently we didn't get the memo that it was an evening for ball gowns. Luckily though, there are a few others less formally dressed and that made us feel better.
Anyways - there is basically no point to this posting except to tell you that this is what we did tonight and that my waist was itching for about 4 hours.
Excuse me, I have to go as Jason has just discovered a bag of pita bread and a container of hummus underneath our bed. How it got there we have no idea.

I don't remember you packing your ball gown when you moved to Moscow, nor do I remember a tux being a regular part of Jason's wardrobe. So it was lucky you were not the only "Underdressed" ones there. Here's aquestion I have always pondered- why don't sheep itch, but we do when we wear wool?
You have the same genes, Annerie. ANd so did Phillip. Lindsey loves his old dresser, but commented to Herman that she never remembered seeing it in his room before... Herman replied that it was always covered with stuff... (they put in in the front hall)
was it still good? did you have a pita and hummus feast?
