And a very happy day-after-Thanksgiving to you all! Its been a while since I posted, but like my friend, there are other things going on in life like too many papers to write, a wedding to plan, a fiance to pick up at the airport, and wondering what it must be like to be an on-call newspaper editor.
I found an ad for this position in the paper today, and while I admit not reading the entire thing, I do wonder what it must be like to do that for a living. Do they wear beepers and get buzzed during Christmas dinner because someone at the office can't remember what a split infinitive is? Do they keep a thesaurus next to the bed along with a flashlight in case a lower lever editor calls at 3 in the morning because they can't remember a synonym for nostalgia? I wonder if they always have their cell phone at the ready just on the off-chance there is a comma emergency or a run-on sentence amputation. Could be an interesting job.
But right now I am much more concerned with my bloated stomach after eating way too much pumpernickel bread, salami, almond pastries, pizza, and pie this afternoon. I basically ate my way across Oakland, Alameda, and then back home for dessert. But it all tasted good.

even better the second time :)
heh, i totally agree- liz's posting skills are almost as good as her story-telling skills :)
A post so nice she said it twice.
For the past couple of days, I was wondering what Wes's comment meant, but didn't check the site. After getting Alex and Eric's, I thought, "Hmmmmm.....maybe something is going on with my blog."
So - apologies to all that I am a nitwit when it comes to posting, but I'm just going to leave it there as a testimony to human error.
