I couldn't help myself...

I burst out laughing, in class no less, when I opened the newspaper and read a certain item. (It's ok, the students were doing their homework assignment, I wasn't shirking my duty.)

Britney Spears filed for divorce. I know I shouldn't laugh because divorce is a serious thing and there are children involved, but I think the entire nation is saying, "Finally!" at this news.

Not that I care at all about what Mrs. Federline (soon to be Ms. Spears) does or doesn't do in her personal life. I think she must have just woken up to the fact that her husband is....well...a bum. I mean the guy has two other children with his ex-girlfriend, whom he left while she was pregnant. Does this sound like the kind of guy to take home to mother.

So yeah, I laughed at someone else's mistakes and misfortune. Not so nice. But really, I don't think I'm the only one.
