Just trying to overcome the horrible frustration of submitting about 20 applications over the summer and receiving one interview call back. And of course that call back was to a chiropractor's office that has a nice job opening as office manager, but there are a lot of slightly kooky things that they do there. Would you take your infant to have their back adjusted? I wouldn't either, but chiropractors do (at least this one does) treat infants, and I'm not sure that I agree with that.
But they've offered me the position, but again, there are no health benefits because as the doctor said, "chiropractic care usually takes care of all my employees issues." Oh. Ok. So when Jason gets a nail through his foot at work you'll take that out? And if he needs stitches? And if we ever get pregnant, you'll do all my prenatal care and ultrasounds? Sounds great, sign me up!
So I'm still talking to them and negotiating, but we'll see. I'm not so sure I could work at a place where I disagree with their philosophy of care.
In other news, I made some zucchini bread last night. Not to be completely ludicrous, but I was disappointed when the bread came out of the oven, smelling wonderful, but tasting exactly like....well.....zucchini. Isn't that the point of zucchini bread? That it's not supposed to taste like squash?

I guess I owe you an apology for the recipe. Now I have to find my regular recipe! Sorry! Love, Mom
I'll email you Mom's recipe for bread. People at her office literally fight/argue over it when she makes it and takes some. I'm not kidding, it's THAT good.
