This paper route has really messed up my sleep/bladder cycle. I used to be able to sleep through the night no problem. But right now it is 4am and I am completely (well, not completely) wide awake. (We're "sleeping in" today and getting up in half an hour.) The other thing is that I feel like I'm 5 years old again (or possibly advancing beyond my years and am now 90 years old) and I can't make it through the night without getting up to go to the bathroom. Why is this? Annoying.
In other news, we had some friends over for dinner last night. Really very fun. Jason and I just really enjoy the fellowship that you can have with others around the dinner table. It was nice to hang out and share a few laughs - especially since we're just figuring out our social situation and I'm making a few friends.
And to completely change the subject again: yesterday at work at the staff meeting a woman from the district office came to briefly discuss the test scores of our students. Boring, right? Actually no! I find this very strange because typically I would rather read anything (and I mean anything, the back of a shampoo bottle would suffice) than study statistical data. But ever since I processed test data a few years ago for a school district in California, I find testing info strangely fascinating. But that's not the point of this discussion. The point is that the woman looked like Barbara Streisand. And that's all I could think about for a while during her talk.
But I think I am going to try to sleep some more, at least for a few minutes. Have a wonderful day!
