Yesterday I had the privilege to have another one of those great summer Bible studies with my high school friends. We examined 2 Corinthians 3:7-4:6 and what it says about the new covenant of Christ's church and the permanence and never-fading glory of it. It really is an inspiring passage, both because of that hope we have in the everlasting glory of God and that God is constantly changing us and transforming us. 2 Corinthians 3:18 says "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord."
Another thing that I was thinking about yesterday was the fact that although we have done absolutely nothing to deserve God's favor, He still chose us. In spite of our sinfulness and depravity, God still came and chose us to be His. It just makes me smile to think of that and to feel reassured of my safety in Christ.
But I also just wanted to say how thankful I am to have such great Christian friends, who I've known for years, and continued to be friends with. I know its not exactly the norm for people to remain good friends for 4 years after high school, and I hope we continue to do that.
